Kev started playing Rugby at the tender age of 12, at Mansfield Rugby Union Football Club. He says, ‘Steve Grummett was my very first coach and I still hold him in very high regard’.

At 18 he left Mansfield to begin a career in The Army career, where he soon found himself on the Regimental Rugby team.

Eight years ago, Kev came home to Mansfield RUFC. At this time his children started playing rugby, which saw him launch on a coaching journey with The Club’s girls section. Kev’s eldest, Summer Hartshorn, has just been selected for trials at Loughborough Lightning CofE. Kev says ‘I'm very proud to have been a part of that journey for her. I've found myself playing for all three teams at Mansfield and I'm very blessed to be part of this amazing club’.
